CONCENTRATED MULTI-PURPOSE FUEL TREATMENT FOR FLAME FIRED FUEL OILS

ATOM-IX 949 is highly concentrated for economical treatment of all grades of flame fired fuel oils. ATOM-IX 949 is developed to increase boiler efficiency and to promote greater cleanliness in fuel storage tanks, circulating lines, feed pumps, strainer screens, preheater and burner nozzles. ATOM-IX 949 should be added to the storage tank at the time the tank is being filled to insure good mixing. It immediately mixes with the fuel oil which is chemically homogenous, where it penetrates and breaks down any sludge forming compounds into very fine particles. This enables the fuel oil to hold them in suspension and pass them along to the piping system for combustion, thus preventing the creation of a sludge problem.

    DOSAGE
    Add to fuel storage tank before refilling: 1 gallon of ATOM-IX 949 to 3000-5000 gallons of fuel oil. For initial treatment to remove existing sludge, 2 gallons of 949 to 3000-5000 gallons of fuel oil is recommended. ATOM-IX 949 is completely miscible with all grades of fuel oil.

    For Home Heating Systems: Add to fuel storage tank before refilling, 1 quart of ATOM-IX 949 to 500 gallons of fuel oil.

    COMPOSITION
    Bell's ATOM-IX 949 is a balanced formulation consisting of a dispersant, moisture eliminator, detergent and combustion improving catalyst in a pure hydrocarbon solvent base.

    DISPERSANT: The organic dispersant effectively disperses heavy hydrocarbons present in residual oils, thus preventing formation of sludge.

    MOISTURE ELIMINATOR: The moisture eliminator reduces the surface tension of water caused by condensation, allowing it to pass through the system with the atomization of the fuel at the burner nozzles. This aids in the combustion process of the fuel.

    DETERGENT: The detergent cleans gum, varnish, sludge, carbon and other foreign material from the fuel system and from burner surfaces.

    CATALYST: The metallic catalyst improves combustion efficiency of the fuel and reduces unburned hydrocarbons and burner deposits.

    Regular use of ATOM-IX 949 helps stabilize the fuel against stratification, deterioration due to microorganism growth and sludge formation.
