Prior to using PRO 2000-E treated fuel the Manistee County Tr.
fleet:
Did 30 or more vaporizer rebuilds per year.
Had problems with carbon build up on valves.
Experienced large build ups of wax in vaporizers so severe
that chunks of wax would carry over to the carburetor
and shut the bus down. The problem was worse in
cold weather and would require a road service call and possibly a tow.
Since using PRO 2000-E treated fuel the Manistee County Tr.
fleet:
Has no wax build up in vaporizers.
Has no problems with carbon build up on valves.
Has no vaporizer rebuilds for fuel problems only when the
parts wear out.
Has no major engine problems.
Summary:
Mr. Cook says he has reduced his total fuel related maintenance
costs including labor by over 70%.
