N&B Enterprises, Inc., a trucking and construction company located in West Wyoming, Pa., has been burning all of their waste oils for many years. The types of oils vary from light hydraulic oils to 90 weight gear oils.

They converted a Shenandoah GB 350 waste oil burner by making the combustion chamber larger to be able to heat a garage repair area of approximately 50'x100'. This unit is the only heat supply in the garage.

In past years when the garage was opened at early hours of the morning there was always a possibility of burner shut down even though the burner was cleaned every three weeks. This has happened many times. Cleaning procedure was to remove the defuser ring and wire brush due to the 5 gallons of ash and sludge that had to be removed.

In September 1996 they treated their 5,000 gallon waste oil tank with Atomic 950. In December after burning for 3 months the burner was checked. The defuser ring and eye was clean and the amount of ash removed was 1 gallon. Also, the ash was transformed from hard ash sludge to a dry ash.
